A large dirt lot as a first-come first serve overnight parking area is a fantastic idea. If showers are built, they'll certainly be used and appreciated. There are probably better ways that the money could be spent to improve the campground, than building shower facilities. In terms of the campground plan, showers honestly don't seem that essential an amenity for this location since there are places to shower nearby in Vegas. But, to not derail a good thread, will leave it at that. In short, showers and other indoor domestic use are a trivially small portion of Colorado Basin water use. ![]() Lots of thoughts on the water use / showers comment from Terry E.
